Daily Prompt: Goals

Goals for this blog, I used to have them. I promise a Music Monday every week, and for the first few months I lived up to that goal, albeit being late by days occasionally. Hey, that took alot of listening hours and dedication! Something I’m not used to, but am trying.

Lately I missed a few weeks of MM. Sad truth, I am too tired everyday to continue. Spotify might revive that goal. I’ve got to listen to loads of songs on the Spotify app. Let’s see how it goes.

Even my weekly blogging goal has gone down the drain. I have got to revive that too. Along with my creative juice. Drawings, illustrations, designs come to my brain pleaseeee

As much as I tell myself to be less materialistic (as opposed to being totally *not* materialistic) (a girl has got to have some branded staples) (LBD), I caved and gotten a Guess wallet for myself. Sort of like an early birthday present because I know I will be burdened with many other financial obligations come my birth month.

It so happens that my car’s insurance and road tax renewal fees will be due that month. And this wallet was on sale last month. Bought it from Dealmates (can I thank whoever started online shopping) at a 40% discount! Score!

I used to own a Bonia men’s wallet (gift from my Dad) but I gave it to my youngest sister as her wallet was torn. That wallet served me for 2 years and it was the best because it was quite a tough leather wallet.

I used to rely on RM10 wallets from pasar pagi/malam and they always break apart after a year. Which lead me to now believe that some things I own would be better branded to ensure it is long lasting. I don’t have to eat a fancy dinner everyday but getting a durable wallet and bag would ensure my things within it wont break apart or fall out.

Okay, time to get back to work. Working through the weekend to get some critical data backup done. Thank goodness Monday is a holiday!

At the Departure Lounge 12th April

departure lounge - piccolo latte

Last Friday before the recce to Malacca, I had my first taste of breakfast at Departure Lounge. It’s a small coffeeshop-like place near where I work, Damansara Uptown. The design of the place, with the wooden tables and couches, reminds me of a simple chill out place where people sit coffee and chat all day. I can imagine patronizing this place more often in the future for breakfast and/or coffee.

My boarding pass aka Order Number.

I ordered the All Day Brekkie. That is not to be confused with all day breakfast where you can select the items you want to be cooked and placed on your plate, something like ala carte breakfast menu. Or a pick-n-mix.

I saw an opportunity to taste Piccolo Latte again. My first time (which was also the last time) I had this was at Gloria Jeans at IJN. It has a slight bitter aftertaste which I quite like. I was hoping DL’s version would have the same aftertaste. Actually it was quite sweet, not really to my liking, but I drank it anyway because it had the cute heart shape at the top.

Piccolo Latte. -Eventually the bubbles took over the heart shape and made it dissolve into the rest of the coffee.

This records the most expensive breakfast I ever had that isn’t buffet style. By gosh, it was delicious as heck! I’m a person who is very used to having bread, oats and other foods that are considered western. I would love to have french toast or pancakes everyday for breakfast if I could squeeze in the time to make them. So having croissant for breakfast is totally legit.

Could be just me but I didn’t like the fresh salad they prepared. Terribly bitter even without the romaine (purple) lettuce but it was fresh (plus point).

The croissant, oh sweet heaven, was made how a croissant should be made. Crispy top and soft inside, plus the filling was sausages, eggs, tomatoes, lettuce, and loads of sliced cheese. Made my Friday x10000 better. Yum!
